Mary Jane was created to display our passion for fresh, local ingredients prepared into stunning dishes and paired with amazingly delicious craft beer. We pride ourselves by using only the freshest ingredients. We buy local when possible to support our small town economy. Our burgers are prepared fresh daily using Midwest-raised cattle, no GMOs, no antibiotics and are accompanied with fresh-baked buns.

Carisa Stark attended and graduated from St. Vincent de Paul High School. She has over eighteen years of Hospitality Management experience including an A.A.S. in Business Management. The business owner’s experience is very versatile in the Hospitality Industry including food and beverage management with Radisson Hotels, then being promoted into operations management as the assistant general manager. She then pursued a position with Sysco Foodservice in Denver Colorado as a marketing associate. She excelled in understanding the relationships between food distributor and independent restaurants. She managed a territory of over twenty restaurants specializing in assisting her customers with menu development, labor control and food and beverage costs. Carisa Stark has spent seven years of her career with Darden Restaurants. Throughout her career with Darden, she has successfully managed six Olive Gardens with million dollar sales figures, two of those which she was part of the opening management team. Carisa Stark has acquired expertise in delivering an excellent guest experience, team member retention, positive guest count growth and positive performance earnings. She trained all team members in her division to become certified trainers to facilitate in house training and new restaurant openings. Carisa Stark has been aggressively promoted into different positions during her tenure including sales manager, service manager, culinary manager and most recently training and staffing manager. Carisa Stark has spent the last two years as sole proprietor of Mary Jane Burgers & Brew LLC and Stark Property Management LLC.
Carisa Stark is involved in her community as a board member with the Chamber of Commerce.
Carisa Stark also holds the title of vice president of her condo association for the past two years, Park Ave Condominium Association. This position has educated her on property management and property by-laws in the Gate District of St. Louis, Missouri.
Carisa Stark has also explored her passion in competition BBQ, she is currently a member of the Kansas City BBQ Society and a Certified BBQ Judge with the KCBS.
Carisa Stark has joined a group of Perryville residents focusing on the Revitalization of Downtown Perryville and helped plan and execute successful community events such as Home Brew Block Party and Downtown Ghost Tour. Email Carisa at email@example.com
Matthew Ruesler attended Ozarks Technical Community College in May 2010, where he graduated and received his A.A.S Degree in Culinary Arts. He has a combined 10 years in the hospitality and restaurant field and over 5 years management experience. His experience in the culinary field expands from high end country clubs to sushi and high end restaurants to eventually achieving the role of Executive Sous Chef/Instructor at the Victory Trade School in Springfield Missouri, the Executive Chef at Weingarten Vineyard and now Executive Chef at Mary Jane Burgers and Brew for over a year. His rapid growth in the field is based off of hard work and the ability to adapt aggressively when necessary. Along with his experience, Matthew Ruesler is Serve-Safe Certified.
Matthew Ruesler also is a homebrewer and has been brewing wide range of ales and lagers for over 5 years. He has experience in homebrew competitions where he has won several awards including a 1st place People’s Choice Award. Through competitions, judges feedback, homebrew clubs and the willingness to learn through books and experts, he has been able to fine tune his brewing process.
